Aug 7, 2022 · I've enabled the content sharing in the campaign, i tried to turned it on and off and even log in and log out from dnd beyond several time but still no dice. i still couldn't read the books or access the statblocks of any monster that my friend has through encounter builder.

If content sharing is enabled, there is a "content management" button that shows all the content being shared (including the PHB if that's shared, only the free stuff that doesn't need to be shared is left off the list). If you don't see anything like that, content sharing is not on.

What it does is prevent folks in the campaign from reading the sourcebooks -- ie, the adventure modules. Luckily, D&D Beyond has a method to let players share sourcebooks with each other. To use this method, at least one person in a campaign must have a Master Tier subscription to D&D Beyond. Spells and subclass were previously selected when content sharing was enabled, now disabled. The character could be leveled up to level 9 and still gain the level 9 AT feature magical ambush, but while it didn't forget Booming blade, no other non-free spells could be added.
